Maxim Maximov born in 1993 in Moscow, based in St. Petersburg (Russia), graduated State Theatre University of Yaroslavl in 2014 He is an actor, puppeteer and director, with a focus on puppet theatre, object theatre and performance. He is also the active teacher of three theatre studios in Saint-Petersburg: "Anton is near" – Fund supporting people with autism, Theatrical studio for kids with diabetes and Theatrical studio "Karlsson Haus". Since 2018 he is a regular participant in the Summer Laboratory of Figurative Theatre. SLFT is an annual art and educational project initiated and organised by Karlsson Haus Theatre. It is a professional workshop experimenting with the tools of the modern puppeteer. "Figurative theatre" is not just another definition of theatrical method, but a designation of the search direction for those interested in contemporary puppet, object, plastic and visual theatre. «I am interested in contemporary theatre at the intersection of its genres. I explore how object theatre, puppet theatre, physical theatre, documentary theatre can still exist in the contemporary field. One of the particular interest of mine is the synthesis of different genres.»
